Regulations on trading individual bonds
1. Trading Hours
Trading hours are from Monday to Friday each week, excluding public holidays in accordance with the Labor Code of Vietnam.
2. General Regulations

Trading unit (volume): 01 bond.

Minimum trading volume: 01 bond.

Price quotation unit (tick size): VND 1.

Trading day (T): The day on which privately placed bonds are traded and matched on the Stock Exchange.

Settlement cycle: T-day settlement.
Order Amendment / Cancellation Rules:

Confirmed orders: Cannot be amended or cancelled.

Unconfirmed orders: May be amended or cancelled
3. Trading Methods
- Transaction Type: Standard buy–sell transactions.
- Electronic Negotiated Transactions:
A trading method whereby a trading member enters firm bid/offer orders into the system, or selects appropriate counter orders already available in the system to execute the transaction. - Conventional Negotiated Transactions:
A trading method in which the buyer and seller mutually agree on the transaction terms in advance, and subsequently report the transaction results into the Privately Placed Corporate Bond Trading System (TPRL) to establish the transaction and complete settlement.
4. Trading Procedure
Step 1: Open a Securities Trading Account and Register for Trading of Privately Placed Corporate Bonds (TPRL). Clients must open a securities trading account and register for trading of TPRL. Clients may place trading orders one day after completing the TPRL trading registration..

Step 2: Trading Guidelines
– For Buyers:
(1) The client must qualify as a Professional Investor, and such status must remain valid at the time of the transaction.
(2) Order Placement Information:

A completed order form with all required information.

Completion and signing of Appendix V – Investor Confirmation Document Prior to Purchasing Bonds, issued in accordance with Decree No. 65/2022/ND-CP dated 16 September 2022 of the Government.
(3) The client must deposit 100% of the transaction value into the account prior to executing the transaction
– For Sellers:
(1) The quantity of bonds placed for sale must be less than or equal to the available balance of privately placed corporate bonds in the account (freely tradable status)
(2) Order Placement Information: A completed order form containing all required information in accordance with applicable regulations.
5. Professional Securities Investor Requirements
When purchasing privately placed corporate bonds, investors must qualify as a Professional Securities Investor and sign the Investor Confirmation Form prior to purchasing bonds.
Step 1: Clients complete and sign the Application for Certification of Professional Investor Status (in accordance with the prescribed template) and submit the required supporting documents to SBS

Step 2: SBS will review and verify the validity and completeness of the documents provided by the client.
Step 3: SBS will issue a Certification of Professional Investor Status once the submitted information and documentation have been verified as valid and compliant with the applicable requirements.
