The depository procedure is as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Open a Securities Account<\/p>\n<p>Clients are required to open a securities trading account with <strong data-start=\"432\" data-end=\"439\">SBS<\/strong> if they do not already have one.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Submit Depository Request<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"522\" data-end=\"690\">Clients may visit an SBS branch directly or contact their account manager\/broker for assistance in completing the depository procedures. The required documents include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"692\" data-end=\"1074\">\n<li data-section-id=\"zmi7ar\" data-start=\"692\" data-end=\"902\">\n<p data-start=\"694\" data-end=\"902\">Present a valid <strong data-start=\"710\" data-end=\"753\">chip-based Citizen Identity Card (CCCD)<\/strong> or the original valid ID card (if visiting the counter in person); provide a photocopy to the broker if the procedure is handled through a broker.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"fbww3q\" data-start=\"903\" data-end=\"989\">\n<p data-start=\"905\" data-end=\"989\">Complete the <strong data-start=\"918\" data-end=\"959\">\u201cSecurities Deposit Form for Trading\u201d<\/strong> (template provided by SBS).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"cngwbq\" data-start=\"990\" data-end=\"1074\">\n<p data-start=\"992\" data-end=\"1074\">Provide the <strong data-start=\"1004\" data-end=\"1073\">original Shareholder Register Book or Share Ownership Certificate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1076\" data-end=\"1395\"><strong data-start=\"1076\" data-end=\"1085\">Note:<\/strong><br data-start=\"1085\" data-end=\"1088\" \/>SBS will only accept securities for deposit if the client has already updated their identification information from the former <strong data-start=\"1215\" data-end=\"1233\">ID card (CMND)<\/strong> to the <strong data-start=\"1241\" data-end=\"1273\">Citizen Identity Card (CCCD)<\/strong> with the issuing organization of the Shareholder Register Book or Share Ownership Certificate (the Issuing Organization).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step3:<\/strong> Document Verification<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u2022 If the client\u2019s identification information registered by the issuing organization with the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation<\/span><\/span> matches the information recorded at SBS, SBS will confirm the <strong data-start=\"1634\" data-end=\"1673\">Securities Deposit Form for Trading<\/strong> and return one copy to the client for record-keeping.<br \/>\n\u2022 In case the information does not match:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">o <strong data-start=\"1776\" data-end=\"1851\">If the client\u2019s identification information at SBS has not been updated:<\/strong><br data-start=\"1851\" data-end=\"1854\" \/>The client must update their information with SBS.<br \/>\no <strong data-start=\"1912\" data-end=\"2008\">If the client\u2019s identification information at the Issuing Organization has not been updated:<\/strong><br data-start=\"2008\" data-end=\"2011\" \/>The client is required to contact the Issuing Organization to update their information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4: <\/strong>Completion of Depository<\/p>\n<p>After SBS completes the depository documentation and receives approval from the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation<\/span><\/span>, the deposited securities will be credited to the client\u2019s account at SBS.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u2022 The securities will be recorded according to their respective classification, which may include <strong data-start=\"2441\" data-end=\"2550\">freely transferable securities, restricted-transfer securities, or securities pending trading eligibility<\/strong>.<br \/>\n\u2022 The processing time for completing the depository procedure is <strong data-start=\"2619\" data-end=\"2653\">approximately 2\u20133 working days<\/strong> from the date SBS receives complete and valid documentation (excluding the time required for any information updates, if applicable).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","danh-muc-ho-tro":[214],"class_list":["post-1753","ho-tro","type-ho-tro","status-publish","hentry","danh-muc-ho-tro-other-professional-guidance"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<title>Securities Depository Procedure - SBS Securities Joint Stock Company (SBS)<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/sbsc.com.vn\/en\/support\/securities-depository-instructions\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Securities Depository Procedure - SBS Securities Joint Stock Company (SBS)\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"Shareholders who hold a Shareholder Register Book or Share Ownership Certificate of a public company are required to deposit their securities into a securities account opened at a securities company before conducting any transactions.
